Design A WORKFLOW PLAN For Your Office

Do you have a home-based business or home office? If so, do you have a WORKFLOW PLAN?

Not sure what a WORKFLOW PLAN looks like? Imagine a boat sailing down a river. This boat docks daily at your Inbox to pick up a new load of passengers. It then carries these passengers on a riverboat voyage from your Inbox to their final travel destinations.

In between your Inbox and these final destinations, though, some passengers need to make "pit stops." For example, Passenger X must stop at your co-worker (or spouse's) desk for review, Passenger Y must stop at your CPA's office, and Passenger Z must rest on your To Do list for a few days until you can find time to deal with his needs.

Without a well-defined workflow plan, all kinds of things can go wrong. Here are just a few. . .

  • The boat never leaves the dock
    Passengers put their feet up in your Inbox where they make themselves at home for weeks, months, or even years.  

  • You have no dock
    If you do not have an Inbox,      then passengers make themselves at home on your desk. After awhile, they start to complain about being neglected, causing you to feel guilty or overwhelmed. You may eventually lose track of them altogether.

  • ou have a dock but that's about all
     If the boat leaves the dock but has nowhere to drop the passengers, they can't get off the boat and may end up marooned on your office floor.

      

In this workshop, you will design your own workflow plan. Enrollment is limited to 10 participants per session. .
